Keffer Hall at Deep Creek Landing is rated one of the top venues to host a wedding or special event on the peninsula.

Located on the waterfront of Deep Creek Harbour in Newport News, Virginia, our banquet facility offers the perfect setting for any special occasion. The indoor facility includes a luxury reception room and a full kitchen. Overlooking the water for your entertainment, we can accommodate up to 120 people inside and outside and 80 people inside our facility.

We also have a Bridal Suite available — spend your special day getting ready in our bridal suite. Complete with a champagne bucket, mini-fridge, make-up mirror, bridal suite decor, and your personal bathroom.

Keffer Hall Rental Packages

At Keffer Hall, we strive to provide every client with the amenities to make their event comfortable and pleasurable. That’s why we have created customized packages to ensure you get exactly what you need. 

Every package tier includes circle, buffet and cocktail tables, chairs, mobile custom bars, unlimited ice, a full kitchen and wet bar for your catering needs, and security to assist with parking. Our James River and Premium Waterway in-season weekend rates also include two bottles of champagne for the bridal suite. For indoor events, Keffer Hall accommodates up to 80 people. For indoor/outdoor events, the facility accommodates up to 120 people. Our waterfront view speaks for itself and will make a dramatic backdrop for any occasion. You may choose any vendors that you wish.

Our single-day, inclusive rental package is designed specifically for those looking for an easy way to gather their loved ones and who may not need additional time for facility setup. Our in-season rate (April-November): $1,950 (Monday-Thursday), $2,950 (Friday & Sunday), or $3,400 (Saturday). Our off-season rate (December-March): $1,550 (Monday-Thursday), $2,150 (Friday or Sunday), or $2,600 (Saturday). If your special day falls on a holiday, please see our Holiday Rates. You have access to the facility and bridal suite on the day of your event from 9am until 10pm.

*This package includes the facility amenities, circle, buffet, and cocktail tables, chairs, mobile custom bars, unlimited ice for your event, security, and two bottles of champagne for the bridal suite (in-season weekend rates only). A security deposit of $250 is required for all bookings and will be returned within two business weeks, pending management approval. The security deposit will be refunded if there are no damages to the facility and bridal suite or does not require excessive cleaning.

**A completed contract and payment of half of the total rental fee (50% rental fee + security deposit) are required to book a date. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the event.

For those who may want additional set-up time and/or to host your rehearsal dinner, our second-tier package includes all the basic amenities plus use of the facility for two full days without booking the dates separately. This ensures that you and those dedicated to providing your special day go as planned and have plenty of space and time to work their magic. Our in-season rate (April-November): $2,950 (Weekday), $3,950 (Thursday/Friday), $5,400 (Friday/Saturday), or $5,300 (Saturday/Sunday). Our off-season rate (December-March): $2,350 (Weekday), $2,750 (Thursday/Friday), or $3,800 (Friday/Saturday), or $3,700 (Saturday/Sunday). If your special day falls on a holiday, please see our Holiday Rates. Each rental day, you can access the facility and bridal suite from 9am to 10pm.

*This package includes the facility amenities, circle, buffet, cocktail tables, chairs, mobile custom bars, unlimited ice for your event, security, and two bottles of champagne for the bridal suite (in-season weekend rates only). Many people love Keffer Hall’s waterfront location to host events other than weddings. We recognize the importance of providing a centrally located, upscale environment for these events, and we are proud to offer them for your use. The package listed below is for events that are nonwedding day related. For example, birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, retirement parties, etc. If you are trying to plan a rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and/or reception, please see our James River Package or Premium Waterway Package.

Our in-season rate (April-November): $900 (Monday-Thursday) and $1,300 (Friday-Sunday). Our off-season rate (December-March): $800 (Monday-Thursday) and $1,100 (Friday-Sunday). This is for the use of Keffer Hall and the surrounding grounds from 9am to 5pm (clean up until 6pm) and all amenities listed above. If you would like to book an additional day for set up, you can either book a 9am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm for the day before (this is for set up only): Our rates are $350 (Monday-Thursday) and $450 (Friday-Sunday).

*The Deep Creek Package can only be booked 60 days in advance. If you want to book more than 60 days in advance, you must reserve under the James River or Premium Waterway Package. Please note, we cannot book The Deep Creek Package on holiday.

**This package include the use of the facility amenities, circle, buffet and cocktail tables, chairs, mobile custom bars, unlimited ice for your event, and security. It does NOT include use of the Bridal Suite.

*** A complete contract and deposit of half of the rental fee and a $250 security deposit are required to book a date. The remaining balance is due 25 days before the event. The security deposit will be refunded if there are no damages or excessive cleaning to the facility or grounds.

 

 

Many people reserve our space during the week (Monday-Thursday) to host corporate events, club meetings, or teach classes. We recognize the importance of providing a centrally located, upscale environment for these events, and we are proud to offer them for your use. Our rate (Monday-Thursday) is $600 for using Keffer Hall from 8am-5pm. Please note we cannot book a corporate event on holiday. If you need to book for multiple days, please get in touch with us at (757) 877-9555.

*This package includes the use of the facility amenities (Keffer Hall only, no use of the Bridal Suite), circle, buffet and cocktail tables, chairs, mobile custom bars, unlimited ice for your event, and security. A security deposit of $250 is required for all bookings and will be returned within two business weeks, pending management approval. The security deposit will be refunded if there are no damages or excessive cleaning to the facility.

**A completed contract and payment of half of the total rental fee (50% rental fee + security deposit) are required to book a date. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the event.

You are responsible for returning the premises clean, sanitary, and in good repair. You may select our cleaning services if you do not wish to clean up after your event. The cost is $300. You will still be required to take out all trash, close all windows, take down decorations, and lock all doors at the end of your event. A signed cleaning service contract is needed, and payment is due 60 days before your event date.

Please note this must be booked no later than 60 days prior to your event date.
