Keffer Hall at Deep Creek Landing is rated one of the top venues to host a wedding or special event on the peninsula.

Located on the waterfront of Deep Creek Harbour in Newport News, Virginia, our banquet facility offers the perfect setting for any special occasion. The indoor facility includes a luxury reception room and full kitchen. Overlooking the water for your entertaining, we can accommodate up to 120 people inside and outside our facility and 80 people inside our facility.

We also have a Bridal Suite available — spend your special day getting ready in our bridal suite. Complete with champagne bucket, mini-fridge, make-up mirror, bridal suite decor, and your own bathroom.

Keffer Hall Rental Packages

Here at Keffer Hall, we strive to provide every client with the amenities that will make their event comfortable and pleasurable. That’s why we have created customized packages to make sure you are getting exactly what you need. Every package tier includes circle, buffet and cocktail tables, chairs, mobile custom bars, unlimited ice, a full kitchen and wet bar for your catering needs, security to assist with parking, and outdoor café style heaters. Our James River and Premium Waterway in-season weekend rates also include 2 bottles of champagne for the bridal suite. For indoor events, Keffer Hall accommodates up to 80 people. For indoor/outdoor events, the facility accommodates up to 120 people. Our waterfront view speaks for itself and is sure to make a dramatic backdrop for any occasion. You may choose any vendors that you wish.

Our single day, an inclusive rental package is designed specifically for those who are looking for an easy way to gather their loved ones and who may not need any additional time set aside for facility set up. Our in-season rate (April-November): $1,300 (Monday-Thursday), $2,400 (Friday), $3,000 (Saturday), $2,800 (Sunday).  Our off-season rate (December-March: $1,300 (Monday-Thursday), $2,300 (Saturday) or $1,800 (Friday or Sunday). If your special day falls on a holiday, please see Holiday Rates. You have access to the facility and bridal suite on the day of your event from 9am until 10pm.

*This package include the use of the facility amenities, circle, buffet and cocktail tables, chairs, mobile custom bars, unlimited ice for your event, security, and 2 bottles of champagne for bridal suite (in-season weekend rates only). A security deposit of $250 is required for all bookings and will be returned within two business weeks pending management approval. The security deposit will be refunded if there are no damages to the facility and bridal suite or does not require excessive cleaning.

**A completed contract and payment of half of the total rental fee (50% rental fee + security deposit) are required to book a date. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the event.

For those who may want additional set-up time, our second-tier package includes all the basic amenities, plus use of the facility for two full days without having to book the dates separately. This ensures that both you and those dedicated to making sure your special day goes as planned have plenty of space and time to work their magic. Our in-season rate (April-November): $1,700 (Weekday), $2,800 (Thursday/Friday), $4,500 (Friday/Saturday), or $4,900 (Saturday/Sunday). Our off-season rate (December-March): $1,700 (Weekday), $2,200 (Thursday/Friday), $3,200 (Friday/Saturday, Saturday/Sunday). If your special day falls on a holiday, please see Holiday Rates. You have access to the facility and bridal suite from 9am to 10pm, each rental day.

We have many people who love Keffer Hall’s waterfront location to host events other than weddings. We recognize the importance of providing a centrally located, upscale environment for these types of events and we are proud to provide them for your use. The package listed below is for events that are nonwedding day related. For example: birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, retirement parties, etc. If you are trying to plan a rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and/or reception, please see our James River Package or Premium Waterway Package.

Our in-season rate (April-November): $600 (Monday-Thursday) and $1,200 (Friday-Sunday). Our off-season rate (December-March): $600 (Monday-Thursday) and $1,000 (Friday-Sunday). This is for use of Keffer Hall and the surrounding grounds from 9am to 5pm on your event day. If you would like to book an additional day for set up, please contact the General Manager.

*The Deep Creek Package can only be booked 50 days in advance. If you would like to book more than 50 days in advance, you will have to book under the James River Package or Premium Waterway Package. Please note, we cannot book The Deep Creek Package on a holiday.

**This package include the use of the facility amenities, circle, buffet and cocktail tables, chairs, mobile custom bars, unlimited ice for your event, and security.

*** A complete contract and deposit of half of the rental fee, plus a $250 security deposit is required to book a date. The remaining balance is due 25 days prior to the event. The security deposit will be refunded if there are no damages or excessive cleaning to the facility or grounds.

 

 

We have many people who reserve our space during the week (Monday-Thursday) to host corporate events, club meetings, or to teach classes. We recognize the importance of providing a centrally located, upscale environment for these types of events and we are proud to provide them for your use. Our rate (Monday-Thursday) is $600 for use of Keffer Hall from 8am-5pm. Please note, we cannot book a corporate event on a holiday. If you need to book for multiple days, please contact us at (757) 877-9555.

*This package include the use of the facility amenities, circle, buffet and cocktail tables, chairs, mobile custom bars, unlimited ice for your event, and security. A security deposit of $250 is required for all bookings and will be returned within two business weeks pending management approval. The security deposit will be refunded if there are no damages or excessive cleaning to the facility.

You are responsible for returning the premises in a clean and sanitary condition and in good repair. If you do not wish to clean up after your event, you may select our cleaning services. Cost is $300. You will still be required to take out all trash, close all windows, and lock all doors at the end of your event. A signed cleaning service contract is needed and payment is due 60 days prior to your event date.
